Case Study

A security operations team relied on a heavily manual inspection and reporting process that required significant time reviewing records, coordinating follow-ups, and communicating status updates across multiple stakeholders. The existing workflow created operational inefficiencies, inconsistent visibility into inspection activity, and unnecessary administrative overhead for the team.

I partnered directly with stakeholders to understand the full inspection lifecycle, document workflow pain points, and identify opportunities to streamline how information was collected, reviewed, and communicated. The goal was not to simply digitize the process, but to create a more intuitive and scalable operational experience that reduced friction for both inspectors and Info Sec & Risk Management team members.

I designed and developed an inspection management solution with a user-focused interface tailored around how the team actually performed inspections onsite during the monthly review cycle. Inspection data was structured through a centralized SharePoint backend, allowing records, statuses, and historical activity to be managed in a more consistent and accessible way. I also developed Power Automate workflows that reduced manual coordination by handling notifications, status tracking, escalations, and process-driven communications automatically.

The solution significantly reduced the amount of manual analysis and follow-up communication previously required to manage inspections, while improving process visibility, reporting consistency, and overall operational efficiency. The platform created a more streamlined and scalable workflow that better supported day-to-day security operations and ongoing process oversight.
